The bar at Lanes

Our bar is open to hotel residents, local guests and anyone stopping by for a drink in West Coker. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with seating in the bar, lounge areas and gardens when the weather allows.

The drinks selection ranges from locally made Somerset cider to draught beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks and carefully prepared coffee.

Somerset cider

We are proud to serve award-winning Harry’s Cider, made on the Fry family farm at Long Sutton in Somerset. Its craft ciders are produced from freshly pressed apples grown in the farm’s own orchards.

Our selection includes both carefully balanced blends and single-varietal ciders that bring out the character of individual apple varieties. The range may change, so please ask the bar team what is currently available.

Cocktails made at Lanes

Our cocktail menu changes regularly, combining familiar favourites with drinks developed by our bar team. Selected cocktails are batched and aged in-house, allowing their flavours to soften and develop before serving.

Whether you prefer something crisp, rich, bitter, sweet or alcohol-free, the bar team will be happy to help you choose.

Our wine list

Our wines are supplied exclusively by Ellis of Richmond, an independent family wine merchant with a history dating back to 1822. Working with one specialist supplier helps us build a coherent list and select wines that suit both our food and our guests.

The list combines familiar favourites with less obvious bottles from established and emerging regions. Each wine is chosen to offer good value, complement the food at Lanes Brasserie or simply be enjoyed on its own.

A selection is also available by the glass.

Coffee with an Italian character
Our exclusive espresso blend has been developed around a traditional Italian flavour profile: full, rounded and made to work equally well as an espresso or with milk. This is particularly appreciated by the many Italian guests who stay with us while working at the Leonardo aerospace site in Yeovil.

For a lighter contrast, our Costa Rican Arabica filter coffee has a cleaner, brighter style with more noticeable acidity. Both coffees are available throughout the bar, lounges and restaurant.

Tea from nearby Beaminster
We serve Clipper teas, founded and still based in nearby Beaminster, Dorset. Clipper is also a customer of Lanes, making this a valued local relationship that works both ways.

Something for every taste
On draught, we serve crisp korev Cornish lager and Gem, the smooth, bittersweet amber ale from Bath Ales. Both are supplied through St Austell Brewery, giving our draught range a distinctly West Country character.

We also offer bottled beers, a broad choice of spirits and a good selection of soft drinks. Alcohol-free beers and cocktails are available for guests who prefer not to drink alcohol.
